European Patents Issued – IntriEnergy Tandem Junction Photovoltaic Cell
We are pleased to announce IntriEnergy’s Tandem Junction Photovoltaic Cell patent has been issued in the following EU countries: Switzerland, Germany, Spain, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden and Turkey. This provides maximum patent protection based on IntriEnergy’s market potential. These patents build on patent protection already secured in the USA, Canada, and India, and is a significant milestone for IntriEnergy.
D·ARK PROJECT Georgia Institute of Technology
We are continuing to make go-forward progress working with Georgia Tech. We have developed and validated our formula for optimum multiple layers of our anti-reflective coating. Our pursuit over the coming months is to translate the current technical engineering of our films into application in a full-size silicon solar cell utilizing industry recognized manufacturing equipment. Georgia Tech’s engineering group will be undertaking this procedural step through an iterative process to ensure we achieve best-in-class and optimum outcomes.
As with any new, breakthrough technology, we recognize and anticipate unexpected challenges may occur during the project and we have an excellent team of scientists and engineers solving each challenge. IntriEnergy’s progress to date demonstrates that our Diamond Like Carbon anti-reflective coating is a viable improvement over today’s industry standard coatings.
TANDEM JUNCTION PV Cell Development
With our patents secured, we are preparing for the next major milestone, testing our Silicon Carbide structure on alternative solar cell structures, starting with a tandem cell. We are currently establishing technical agreements and anticipate commencing this work in Q12025.
We will continue to keep you informed of our progress on these projects.
Sincerely,
Jackie Coffey
